Teeth Time!
You know how you feel when you leave the Dentist’s chair every 6 months, that you have a new determination to combat tooth decay… well none of us have been to the Dentist for over a year because I ran out of time, just over a year ago, to sign us up for insurance! I was hoping that that mistake wouldn’t come back and bite me in the butt. Well – it did! Now I feel a total waste of a parent!
I don’t know about you, but the dentist was a pleasurable experience to visit every 6 months as a child. Until the 1st cavity that is! Then from that point on, it’s all down hill! That’s how it was for me growing up and I was determined that my children wouldn’t have to go through what I did. You can pass out the “F” graded parent papers now!
My 8 year old (Scott) had a deep cavity on one of his molars, a few days ago that almost needed a baby root canal! Our current dentist was skipping town for the Christmas Season and booked an appointment a month and a half later! That didn’t sit well and we investigated a good dentist that could fix the cavity quickly. We settled on Dr Matthews and have been impressed with his practice. He saved the day and turned Scott’s impending root canal around!
Needless to say we are now signed up for Dental insurance this year! and I will continue to teach my children the importance of brushing & flossing their teeth. Even my 2 year old, Fiona, who wants to “do it by myself!”
Happy Brushing!
