It took my 6 months and 5 days to finish reading Ayn Rand’s “Atlas Shrugged“.

WOW – the longest book I have EVER read! This publication weighs in at a staggering 1,069 pages.
I got the motivation to read this book from The Free Capitalist Rick Koerber. I’ve been listening to a lot of his radio show where Rick always has something to say about this book that makes you think. I just didn’t count on 6 months of my life to actually finish this book, but I’m glad that I took the time and effort to stick with it.
I’ll be perfectly honest, I had a really hard time keeping my interests up as I started reading. It wasn’t until around page 170 that the book claw finally got me! I found I read about 8-12 pages a day during my commute to work, see why I love to commute! The secret is to let somebody else drive! Rand has a very interesting descriptive method of writing, which almost seems backwards! but now that I’m used to it – it’s beautiful.
I give this book 2 thumbs up – well worth a read – if you can spend 6 months of your life on it!
