Wind Damage

We had wind speeds in excess of 85 MPH last week which worked a nice little number on our roof. All in all we lost about 30 shingles. I’ve had about 4 trips up on our roof to fix other missing shingles! I’m happy to say that all my ‘fixed’ shingles held on tight. I’m also going to buy some tar and make sure we don’t lose anymore.

4 hours later under thundering skies, our roof is back to normal. I installed 36 new shingles. I thought at one time I was going to be a lightning conductor, but that storm stayed away. Shortly after I was done it rained for 2 days! I’m sure glad I took the time to fix it. Now let’s just hope the wind stays away. Those shingles are only rated for 70 mph. I still need to go back up their and stick any loose shingles down.
