Macromedia Communication Server

I’ve been having a lot of fun recently learning more about Macromedia Communication Server (FCS). There is a guy called Peldi (www.peldi.com) who has some awesome training using ActionScript 2 to setup the FCS evironment. It’s opening my mind to possibilities of using this software to deliver more engaging web applications. Thanks Peldi.

I look like Mickey Mouse?

Or so Scott thinks so anyway! I cut my hair the other day and I guess my hair line is receeding which aparently reveals my Mickey Mouse ears! OUCH !!! I guess I should expect it as I get older. But it was like a wake up call for me… Thanks Scotty!!

SpyWare Profiteers

My opinion is that spyware writers and spyware protectors share the same fridge! There’s always a new spy program which is disguised as a cool screen saver or the most commonly used ‘quick’ search bar, to which normal computer users do not see as possible malicious code. I was able to help a friend of [...]

GMAIL 1GB of Storage!

Google are beta testing a new email service which whey are calling GMail. You can only join if somebody invites you and thanks to a good friend I was able to join today. I can’t believe that they are actually handing out 1000MB of storage space! A really cool feature I like is that you [...]

Alyson has a fever

We placed a quick temperature reader on Alyson’s forehead and it didn’t register – well 104 degress did kind of show up – but that was the highest reading! Thanks to the modern marvels of medicine we can bring her fever down. But it’s still no fun watching a lethargic little Alyson. If she is [...]

Cabbage Soup!

My Boss showed me a very interesting diet today called the Cabbage Soup Diet. Cabbage-Soup-diet.com They claim to loose a minimum of 10 pounds in 7 days. I’m very eager to hear about Jon’s success, especially when it comes to the wind producing parts which cabbage generally creates!

It’s a snow day!

I managed to get into work this morning after 10am! It took me 1 hour to clear my drive-way! I had to clear it twice it was snowing so fast. It’s been snowing all day and so you know what I’ll be doing when I get home! Yep – clearing the snow from my drive-way [...]

Biking

I’m discovering that nothing beats a bike ride with my son Scott. I let him choose our route and we end up biking for over 30 minutes. He let me choose our route on Sunday and I took him over to the Golf couse (which he insisted that we not ride on since “that would [...]

Sinus Infection

Looks like I’m an an unavoidable crash course for yet another Sinus Infection this year! This would be my 5 in a space of about 3 years! It seems that any cold I get turns into a Sinus Infection. Sudafed Severe Sinus Congestion is helping to keep the pain at bay and Ibuprophen seems to [...]

The Amazing Adventures of Chilly Billy

I remembered the other day a book with fasinated me as a young boy of 8 years of age. I can remember to this day the way my Teacher (Mr. Hull) read this book to us. Mr Hull was not a teacher you would mess around with. He was a medium height, red faced, fat [...]
