Insights into our crazy world!

Ski day

It’s been 4 years since I’ve skiied! and I can tell! I found myself snow ploughing on the green (easy) runs! I just couldn’t believe it. Kristy was following Steven, her brother, on the double black diamond runs (which is normal for her)!
Brighton was the resort of choice since Jeff could snow board and the rest of us could ski. I almost got run over a few times with these crazy snow boarding guys – but all in all it was a fun time. No broken bones or major injuries, just bruises!
Before Kristy and I left, Scott said “Please don’t die Daddy” I told him he needs to tell his mum that – and that’s what he did. He was really concerned that he’d never see us again!!
I do prefer groomed runs though. Brighton’s runs were pretty beaten up with the snow boarders, so Alta is on my next resort of choice.

Well – I love to ski – Yeah right!! I remember this fall like it was my first! It actually was my 1st fall of this season, but it’s going to be my last also. Thanks to that fall I bruised 3 of my ribs on my back and dislocated a front rib (which then popped right back in place). However the pain was getting more and more uncomfortable that I finally had enough and ventured to my Doctor.
Thankfully I’m on pain medication now which is helping to relieve the pain. The only problem now is that it might take upto 3 months for this to heal!! WOUCH!! Thus ends my skiing adventure for this season. It wasn’t that much of a fall – but I guess when you land on your ribs somethings gotta give!
