Fire Safety FHE
Our Family Home Evening today was focused on fire safety. Our Local fire department had given Scott a paper for him to define the escape routes in our home. Scott is 5 and the paper said to draw a floor plan – So I did – took me about an hour and didn’t finish it until the kids were fast asleep! But regardless of not having that part done – we still had the kids perform 2 fire alarm tests. They pretended that they were fast asleep and I went around the house turning lights off and locking doors etc…. I wanted to perform this test like it was in the middle of the night. Scott didn’t like the siren noise so much, but we all exited the house in a calm, quick time.
All in all we had fun, especially with the drop and roll exercise!
