Grandma’s Carnival
Well what a fun time we had at the new Grandma’s Carnival. We had a Magic show, World of Wonder show, Fish for a prize, Shoot at Grandpop, rides and other splendid ‘carni’ surprises.
All the kids had a really fun time, even with Grandma and Grandpa putting in a lot of time to prepare for the onslaught. Scott and Toby both enjoyed Uncle Steven’s magic show the best, whilst Alyson was simply trying to be his lovely assistant.
Auntie Kari put on an awesome ‘World of Wonders’ show with a live animal demonstration.
I was involved with ‘airplane rides’, mainly giving them and giving myself a ride of dizziness along the way.
Hayden even showed up the join in the fun and had a real BLAST, he was fun to watch as he enjoyed the experience.
All in all – I hope this becomes a family tradition. My kids certainly loved it and I think would be disappointed if it doesn’t happen again. Uncle Steven needs to get some new ‘updated’ tricks though. We found that some of them didn’t seem to work anymore (which isn’t too surprising) especially since he’s not given a magic show for some years now.
